The special relationship that exists between the school and parents and carers is particularly striking. There is a thriving PTA that organises events and the school provides opportunities for lifelong learning and engagement with the community.

Each week, parents and carers receive ‘Newsnotes’, a popular means of keeping everyone up-to-date. Our Groupcall text messaging service enables us to reach parents and carers for urgent and up-to-date information.

Once you join the school as a parent or carer you are welcomed into a much larger family.

The PTA

The PTA Social Committee at Simon Marks is a very active one. We run several events a year which help raise much needed funds for the school, as well as giving the parents an opportunity to meet and get to know each other.

Every year the PTA are heavily involved in helping out during festivals and organise the increasingly popular Summer Fair. Other events which have happened recently are: the School Fashion Show, Simon Marks’ X Factor, School Barbecue, Hot Chocolate Sale, Cinema Night amongst others.
