Our curriculum is broad, balanced and encompasses the National Curriculum. It is based on our topic map, where subjects are linked, wherever appropriate, to give coherence to the children’s learning.

We make use of the QCA Schemes of work, where they support our topics. The school also refers to “Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation stage”, as well as the Hackney Scheme for R.E.

Our teaching of English and Maths is based on and closely follows the Literacy and Mathematics Framework.

We teach using the Learning Objectives for the lesson or group of lessons to support us in planning, teaching, assessing the work, giving feedback to the children and to provide the basis for future planning.
